Fun guys!

As anyone who has taken a walk through the Yukon woods lately (or even across your lawn) knows, this is an unprecedented year for fungi!! And as anyone familiar with the Yukon knows, that is HIGHLY unusual!

In a typical year, seeing a mushroom would evoke an exclamation of “Oooo, look - a mushroom!”. This year, it still does, but now followed by my daughter rolling her eyes and saying “Mama, stop with the mushroom alerts. There are THOUSANDS every walk.” And she’s not even kidding.

Mushrooms are awesome, potent, healing foods. In their honour I’m going to do a week of featuring a mushroom a day on my blog!
