This is a kind reminder

I was reminded this week (numerous times!) of how the nature of these times can be described as unpredictable at best. As a species that typically thrives on a sense of control - or at the very least, predictability - these discombobulated times can be a cause of anxiety for many.

From a Chinese medicine point of view, the advice for these “Hua transformation” or “breakdown” times is to

  • be smart - avoid exposing yourself to difficulties if, when, & where you can,

  • and to align yourself with & go with the flow of nature whenever & wherever possible.

When it comes to examples of the chaos of these times, there are examples at every turn. But few will make you laugh like the one below…

Two years ago I “broke up” with Amazon for ethical reasons (environmental, social, human rights). This week I decided I had to bite the bullet and place an order to replace the HEPA filters for the air filter units in my clinic. When I went to order, this was the description for one of the items…

Yep, sounds about right.

Needless to say, I did not order that one.

  • So. This is a kind reminder that the actual day you were expecting is not necessarily the same as anticipated or pictured. You may have random things sent your way. Brace yourself. And then, be ready to go with the flow, as there is no return service.

And - there is always tomorrow… And acupuncture to help deal!
